"Remember who you are" this is one of the best tips on fending oneself against depression. Whenever times get tough after experiencing heartaches, failures and such, you'll lose yourself and start experiencing uneasy pain towards your heart. The very first step in this process is to rest and this'll help lessen all the pressure inside your head. Once you've fully gained energy from your rest, you'll have to tell yourself that you'll get through that situation and that situation is a phase for healing. You may cry as much as you want and once you're ready, you'll have to focus on yourself, remember who you are and show yourself what you're capable of. Be with your friends and spend time with them and it'll help you remember your worth in living in this world. In addition, never ever compare yourself towards others because you have your own version of yourself. No matter how you think that those people around you are better than you, you shall always remember that life is not a competition against each other and it's not a race. Never ever compete yourself with someone else, be with yourself and have peace with your mind and soul.
